Malefic majesty Of the whitetail moon A vivacious palace You were born to rule With youthful potential And the celestial crown You will earn your esteem And the kingdom's renown But oh lady Beware of the wicked And their envious prose Empress of the Rose In the coveted chair Those sultry merlot robes And your arsenic eyes Tell a beautiful Story of despair Build walls of stone All briar adorned To protect your wild Throne of Thorns Throne of Thorns Knights men and porters Rival for the feast Their malice apparent As they exploit the queen Irony in the wine stains Painted on their lips A toast for the palace Golden chalices in greedy fingertips Oh lady Beware of the wicked They will decimate your groves Empress of the Rose In the coveted chair Those sultry merlot robes And your arsenic eyes Tell a beautiful Story of despair Build walls of stone All briar adorned To protect your wild Throne of Thorns Throne of Thorns They'll try to incinerate Your sacred domain Let your power embolden With every curse and every flame Oh lady Don't be scared of the wicked Empress of the Rose In the coveted chair Those sultry merlot robes And your arsenic eyes Tell a beautiful Story of despair Do those walls of stone All briar adorned Protect your wild Throne of Thorns Throne of Thorns Throne of Thorns Throne of Thorns

Smokestacks on the bluff Blue sky reflecting clouds in our cups You tell me how fast you lived Before you finally grew up and moved back east Talking 'bout days that you worked every mill in the land I tell you I love a man who works with his hands Then comes home at night and puts them all over me Oh I was so lonesome before you came And started telling me stories And calling my name out Before our two worlds collided We were long lost strangers Wayfaring aimlessly Then we found each other In a barroom in '93 As time rolled on, resentment grew strong Emotional cravings but our connection was gone Cursing each other cuz neither could admit we were wrong Oh I was so lonesome before you came But now we're yelling and fighting And I'm calling you names Before our two worlds collided We were long lost strangers Wayfaring aimlessly Now I'm reminiscing 'Bout a barroom in 93 Liquor and lime isn't enough to save me To save me I've got selfish intentions God, I wish that I could change I bet you feel, I bet you feel the same Oh I was so lonesome before you came And started telling me stories And calling my name out Calling my name Before our two worlds collided Yeah we were long lost strangers Wayfaring aimlessly Now I'm drowning my sorrows in that Same old barroom from 93

Freedom 03:58
Anger in the eyes of two Who know our differences are Too much to overcome There's no resolving our fights Can't make nice so Instead of reviving us You just up and run We've done this plenty of times before Back and forth we divide but We fall right back together God forbid we try anymore We're all out of reasons to… You keep leaving to find your freedom Or something better than how I hold you Keep on looking around for freedom I'm sure you'll figure out It's not everything you thought it would be 'Cause freedom isn't free Freedom isn't free Every time you give up and get out You ride the waves right on back We reconnect in disguise as we hide The damage we took from each other God forbid you come back and attach Just to flee and repeat The whole cycle over again You keep leaving to find your freedom Or something better than how I hold you Keep on looking around for freedom I'm sure you'll figure out It's not everything you thought it would be And freedom isn't free You know freedom isn't free All you found was the cost of trading All the love I gave For the idea of something else You lost me I can't save you again When you keep leaving to find your freedom Or something better than how I hold you Keep on looking around for freedom I'm sure you'll figure out It's not everything you thought it would be 'Cause freedom isn't free You know freedom isn't free

We have it made Our ambitions lining up Moving out, dismantling tradition We'll all get paid We won't be scrambling He'll be an artist And she'll take pictures And I'll be a musician Yeah the teens were hard But those years taught us how to start Grinding past the rocky roads And make better decisions Together we try to sacrifice The heartache that's behind us Try to free our minds and live our lives Chasing only what makes us strong And raises us up high Together We Try Together We Try We were wrong 22 with no clue how I lost all my promised opportunities Billing statements pile now It's 52 inside my house But I find peace in knowing There's unity in feeling broken Together we try to sacrifice The heartache that's behind us Try to free our minds and live our lives Chasing only what makes us strong And raises us up high Together We Try Together We Try Beseech the savior We plead and wager Revery, love thy neighbor In time we learn all that really saves us Is community It's in our nature Together we try to sacrifice The heartache that's behind us Try to free our minds and live our lives Chasing only what makes us strong And raises us up high Together We Try Together We Try

Two Birds 04:46
A rosemary renaissance In the house today To cleanse myself of worries and defeats I've been trying Despite existential deceit To make my way But tonight I laid down Just like every other night But something peculiar Eased my unruly mind I woke up from a dream And made up a meaning Why two birds came from the sky And twirled around me Green bird, blue bird Is it news you're bringing Oh it's absurd How two birds Can change your life On a hopeful horizon Kissed by the crimson sun I can finally see a life Led by inner trust And when I lay down Every single night I'll rise again with a Medicated mind Just like the time that I woke up from a dream And made up a meaning Why two birds came from the sky And twirled around me Oh green bird, blue bird Is it hope you're bringing? Oh it's absurd How two birds Can change your life Oh can change your life And when I need my wings The birds bring hope Soaring and singing And when I'm fast asleep They fly through the light Just like the night when I woke up from a dream And made up a meaning Why two birds came from the sky And twirled around me Oh green bird, blue bird It's the strength you give me Oh it's absurd How you changed my life Oh in one night Just when I needed it most You brought me hope Green bird, blue bird It's the strength you give me Oh it's absurd How two birds Can change your life

about

Though only a young 23 years old, I have lived a complex life full of adventure and opportunity. However, my world stopped just before I turned 22 when my father passed away. I have spent every day since mourning our life together - performing with each other, adventuring, and sharing the deepest love I'll ever know. Writing these songs saved me amid the darkest days of my life and I hope you can find some solace and inspiration in them as well.
Thank you to my family and friends for encouraging me to pursue music, listening to all the songs I write and share, and for giving me the freedom to make my dreams come true. Thank you to my mentors and teachers for guiding me in my creative and professional growth. Thank you to all my supporters for your high energy anticipation of this release and for pushing me every day. Thank you to the musicians and studio personnel for the passion and vivacity you laid into these tracks.

Thank you to my father for the lifetime's worth of wisdom, motivation and admiration.

-Darby Rose~Lin Sabin
